RRB Section Controller Eligibility Criteria

Before you apply, you must check if you meet all the eligibility criteria. These conditions are very strict.

Educational Qualification

• You must have a Degree (Graduation) from any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering).

• Your degree must have been completed on or before the closing application date of 14th October 2025.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2026)

• The age limit for general candidates is 20 to 33 years.

• Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories:

◦ OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (up to 36 years)

◦ SC/ST: 5 years (up to 38 years)

Medical Standard (A-2): The Medical Fortress

This is the most critical eligibility criterion and the one that causes the most heartbreak at the final stage. The A-2 Medical Standard is a Medical Fortress and is absolutely non-negotiable.

• Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses.

• Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses.

• Must pass the test for Color Blindness.

• Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery are NOT eligible.

RRB Section Controller Selection Process 2025

The selection process has multiple stages designed to find the best candidates.

1. Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT):
